On saturday 22nd November a round table moderated by Cecilia Casorati and promoted by RAM radioartemobile and the Fondazione Aria was held at the Alviani ArtSpace at the Aurum in Pescara.
Mario Pieroni, businessmen Maurizio Felluga, Enrico Marramiero, Ottorino La Rocca and Elena Petruzzi, and artists Getulio Alviani, Jean-Baptiste Decavèle and Liliana Moro compared their experiences and established 'common aims' in order to create a network between art and business to give new stimuli to the territory.
Opening the proceedings was the Councillor for Cultural Heritage, Paola Marcheggiani, representing Mayor Alessandrini, who praised the active role taken on by the Fondazione Aria as well as the other organisers of the event in finally building a bridge between Art and Business in line with national and European market trends. Cecilia Casorati, the new artistic director of the Fondazione Aria, introduced the theme of the meeting, ‘
Common Aims’, and briefly illustrated the foundation's future project aimed at creating a truly operative synergy between artists, businessmen, the public and the territory within an international dimension. The President of the Fondazione Aria, Elena Petruzzi, then highlighted the shared philosophy of the D/A/C project in absolute coherence with the common aim of shifting the point of view from the singular to a collective dimension, promoting a previously unseen model of cultural development of the territory. Mario Pieroni, President of RAM radioartemobile, creator and promoter of the D/A/C meetings in the major European cities, went on to illustrate the idea at the root of these meetings, declaring that dialogue between producers and artists means demonstrating an opening towards together finding solutions not only to the practical problems of reality but of all aspects of life. He then handed over to Getulio Alviani who, with a critical yet very constructive intervention, reminded that an artists's commitment has always been and continues to be that of creating the present with an eye to the future. The Friulian businessman Maurizio Felluga affirmed art's ability to be an added value for a business, explaining how the ‘Vigne Museum’, realised by Yona Friedman and Jean-Baptiste Decavèle on the occasion of the hundredth birthday of his father Livio Felluga, has become in a very short amount of time a true tourist attraction, becoming as such an asset to his business, to those who have worked on its creation, but above all to the territory. Of this work – a great open structure which will in time be covered by a hundred new grapevines, becoming perfectly integrated with the land – spoke the artist Jean-Baptiste Decavèle, highlighting how producers and artists complement each other.
Enrico Marramiero, A.U. ALMA C.I.S. and President of the wine company Marramiero, underlined the active role of the Fondazione Aria which cannot do without the involvement of youngsters in its cultural projects in transferring to them the need to work for the search of an ideal; he then explained how creativity nowadays is a strategic resource for finding innovative solutions at all levels of a company. The President of Valagro S.p.A. Ottorino La Rocca affirmed that
‘Aria too began by around a hundred businessmen, artists, professionals and people active in enriching the territory through culture coming together around an idea. Aria will continue its progress creating new synergies with those who would like to share the ideals of the growth of the territory, leaving negativity behind and looking ahead with optimism towards the goals of future growth’.
The Milanese artist Liliana Moro, who for the occasion constrcucted the table ‘
Quattro stagioni’ ('Four Seasons') around which the meeting was held, told of her own experiences of ‘Public Art’. The artist spoke of the project on which she is currently working, commissioned by the Fondazione Zegna, underlining the importance of the relationship between work and territory. Lucia Zappacosta, in closing, retraced the story of the Alviani ArtSpace, of which she is the director, which in only two years has become a reference point for youth creativity not only in Abruzzo.
The meeting held in Pescara is the 14th D/A/C, an acronym for Denominazione Artistica Condivisa (Shared Artistic Denomination).
The information centre in the foyer was a piece by Alessandro Cannistrà entitled
Oggetto di pensiero (Object of Thought) (2014).

On 20th September 2014, the Abbey of Rosazzo and the hills round about began the setting for several significant moments:
– A conference curated by Mario Pieroni and Dora Stiefelmeier from RAM radioartemobile, a part of the D/A/C (Shared Artistic Designation) project, and entitled Art and Enterprise Safeguarding the Rural Landscape. A multidisciplinary perspective is assured by contributions from eminent international speakers from the worlds of the arts and science;
– The inauguration of Vigne Museum, by Yona Friedman and Jean-Baptiste Decavèle created with D/A/C;
– The presentation of 100, a specially created limited-edition wine dedicated to Livio Felluga.
To mark this unforgettable milestone, The Livio Felluga Company referred to art and architecture.Vigne Museum by Yona Friedman and Jean-Baptiste Decavèle with D/A/C is the result. It embellishes Livio Felluga’s hill country at Rosazzo. A huge Iconostase, Yona Friedman’s signature architectural structure, has been erected among the vines to become an integral part of nature and the landscape .
Also the conference took place at Rosazzo Abbey, near by the Vigne Museum. It was the first appointment to give content to the project. Many important guests were invited:
Lorenzo Benedetti(director at de Appel arts centre in Amsterdam);
Jean-Baptiste Decavèle (artist, author of the Vigne Museum together with Yona Friedman);
Stefano Mancuso (plants neurobiologist);
Mauro Pascolini(geographer and director of Literature Department at the University of Udine),
Mario Pieroni and Dora Stiefelmeier (RAM radioartemobile).
Moderator Adriana Polveroni (Director of Exibart, independent curator and writer).

During the opening days of the
55th International Art Exhibition – Venice Biennial D/A/C/ will reach the
11th appointment.
On May 30th 2013 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m at Palazzo Giustinian Lolin (Accademia)– from 2010 representative office of
Permasteelisa, sponsor of the Dutch Pavilion curated by Lorenzo Benedetti, art director at the Centre De Vleeshal, Middelburg – a panel of international artists, entrepreneurs and exponent of public administration will meet each other to get at the second lever of the whole D/A/C/ project.
Passing throw a first theoretical phase to focus on method and possibilities to share common projects dedicated to the industrial product, artists and entrepreneurs will speak now about tangible, concrete and pragmatic solutions.
DAC#11 will became he platform where to start and to present programs, projects and researches in action.
The Artists and Entrepreneurs that will attend the panel are:
Jean-Baptiste Decavèle (artist) and Yona Friedman (architect), Nico Dockx (artist), Annie Ratti (artist) versus Bert van de Linde (entrepreneur) and Andrea Dapretto (Town Planning Councillor of Trieste, architect);
Gianfranco Baruchello (artist) versus Marcello Zaccagnini (entrepreneur)
Fabrice Hyber (artist) versus Roberto Crivellini (entrepreneur);
Luca Vitone (artist) versus Maria Candida Gentile (entrepreneur, “nose” maître parfumeur)
The panel discussion will be moderated by
Giovanna Felluga (AtemporaryStudio).
All the guests will seat around a table/piece of art, as usual during D/A/C/ meetings, designed in this particular case by
Jean-Baptiste Decavèle e Yona Friedman.
The table, made by cardboard, material usually used by Friedman, is a mobile structure, light and nomadic, like most of Friedman’s projects (Mobile Architecture) that conveys new ways of looking, spreading and knowing Art.
D/A/C Meeting #11 will continue the discussion developed during 2012 and 2013 around the 10th Tables and in the several Cities it touched. So far it has been stressed the important idea that art and the relation between artist and industrial product can be the right match to overcome economical crises.
Every meeting is recorded and well documented in D/A/C/ Producers versus artists, video in progress reedited after every panel discussion.
D/A/C Meeting #11 will be broadcast on RAM live, RAM radioartemobile radio station.

The encounter is a shared project involving artists and Italian producers of mineral water under the label of a Common Artistic Denomination.
Created by
RAM radioartemobile, the
D/A/C brand was born in order to promote moments of confrontation between artists and businessmen for the promotion of new business models and new ideas that stem from art and reach industrial projects, with the aim of identifying and communicating with a common language through a mobile club that moves in space and time. The artists attending the debate present themselves as “idea sponsors” turning the traditional roles between art and business upside down.
The theme, the memory of water, comes from the title of the text written by
Mauro Favero for
Promemoria (Memorandum), an exhibition at the
RAM offices, in which three works that had been exhibited in three different occasions distant in time,
La Stanza delle Tazze (The Room of the Cups), 1985, by
Remo Salvadori,
La macchina stanca. Tre tentativi di fermare il tempo (The Tired Machine. Three Attempts to Stop Time), 1983, by
Marco Bagnoli and
Mobile?, 2005, by
Bruna Esposito, were re-exhibited, suggesting a reflection on the dimension and experience of space and of memory as a way of activating thought.
The observation of the piece always requires an activation of memory. Even more so, adds
Remo Salvadori, if we look at works from a few years ago. “
We are all in the memory of water”, he said. According to the Japanese writer
Masaru Emoto, water, if exposed to the vibrations of music, of thoughts and of words, be they pronounced or written on the container, modifies the structure of its crystals. We, immersed as we are in this liquid, assimilate and conserve the traces of every encounter (an extract from the critical text In the Memory of Water by Maura Favero)
