Sounds Like Venice

From June 3rd to 7th, RAM LIVE (Rome) in collaboration Radio Cona občasna projektna radijska postaja za sodobno umetnost (Ljubljana) – will air from its temporary station in the Spazio Thetis at the Arsenal of Venice and via streaming on http://live.radioartemobile.it the programme “Sounds like Venice”: a continuous flux of radio broadcasts, on site audio performance by the Icelandic artist Ásdís Sif Gunnarsdottir and a multimedia blog by international artists which will gather the testimonies, sounds and voices of world culture from the heart of Venice during the 53rd International Art Exhibition, entitled Fare Mondi//Making Worlds//Bantin Duniyan// 制造世界 // Weltenmachen//Construire des Mondes //Fazer Mundos… , directed by Daniel Birnbaum. The project was born from a meeting between RAM LIVE – a research radio web which ranges from reports on artistic events and interviews with artists to popular music and field recordings, as well as historical RAM archives – and the personal vocation of a site, Spazio Thetis, for the relationship between contemporary art and technological research dedicated to environmental themes, eco-compatibility and innovation in artistic forms and electronic communication.
