Camere XII: Echo
curated by
Anna Cestelli Guidi
As is customary, each of the three rooms of the space is dedicated to the work of an artist or, as is the case here, it is the result of the collaboration between artists from different linguistic experiences.
Sound is the impalpable material which “resounds” like an echo and unites these extremeley different works: electonic sound, spoken sound, distorted sound, shouted sounds…Sound is at the centre of Model of a Hole, the sculptural project born from the collaboration between Annie Ratti and Arto Lindsay for the Rome Auditorium, here presented in its model/sculpture version; as is the H.H.Lim installation, a fragmented dialogue between the visual world of Argomenti di Stagione (Seasonal Discussions) and the spoken word of Daily Music; even more so, manipulated, distorted, exhausted sound is the central element of the performative and interactive installation by the collective Staalplaat Soundsystem, Killing Buddha, put together thanks to the collaboration with the Chinese music duo FM3.
